										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Earlier this year, at the Twitter Analyst Day, Twitter announced that it is working on a new paid service called Super Follows, to allow users to charge for their content.</p>
<p>Reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong has tweeted screenshots of what she says it will look like. According to Wong’s findings, the Super Follows program will be limited to Twitter users with at least 10,000 followers, who have posted at least 25 tweets within the last 30 dats and are above 18 years of age. Twitter has earlier mentioned that one of the main features of Super Follows will be bonus content, such as exclusive tweets for Super Followers.</p>

<p>Wong also pointed towards a list of content categories that Super Follows users would choose from, in order to describe their content. She also notes that “adult content&#8221; and “OnlyFans&#8221; are listed as “content platforms,&#8221; along with Facebook, Substack, Patreon, Twitch, and YouTube. Twitter refused to comment on Wong’s latest findings. The micro-blogging site had earlier described the Super Follows feature as a kind of a subscription, providing an example where a Super Follow user charged $4.99 per month for users to get access to “perks.&#8221;</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Twitter expressed its opinion on revised digital rules issued by government and expressed concern over &#8220;the potential threat to freedom of expression&#8221; and &#8220;the use of intimidation tactics by the police&#8221;. In their statement, the social media platform ask for changes to certain sections in the rules &#8220;that inhibit free, open conversation&#8221;.</p>
<p>Twitter has been under government scrutiny after it marked posts by some BJP leaders on the  &#8220;Congress toolkit&#8221; issue as &#8220;manipulated media&#8221;. The Delhi Police paid Twitter India&#8217;s offices in Delhi and Gurgaon a visit on 24 May and gave them a notice to explain their position.</p>
<p>The changed rules came into force on 26 May and require websites to enforce a system to address complaints and trace the &#8220;first originator&#8221; of content that aims to &#8220;undermine the sovereignty of India, security of the state, or public order&#8221;.</p>

<p>The second largest cryptocurrency in the world, <strong>Ethereum (ETH)</strong>, has announced a new infrastructure model that will reduce its energy consumption by as much as <strong>99%</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Ethereum</strong> hopes to achieve this by substituting the proof of work system with the proof of stake system. <br /><br />At the present moment, this virtual currency has a carbon footprint that is comparable to Sri Lanka&#8217;s. Many people are sceptical and have raised concerns about the energy consumption of cryptocurrency mining. It may cause increased carbon emissions and climate change.</p>
<p>In addition to addressing this issue, this update also decreases the dependence on powerful hardware in the crypto community.</p>
