										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After the severe cyclonic storm Tauktae, the country is facing a new threat of cyclonic storm. The cyclone is very likely to hit the coasts of West Bengal and Odisha by May 26-27. The India Meteorological department  gave the information on Wednesday.</p>
<p>The MeT department also said that a low-pressure area is to form over the north Andaman sea and the east-central Bay of Bengal. The depression holds the capability to intensify into a cyclonic storm which will form from May 21.</p>
<p>The Cyclone warning division of the IMD said,&#8221;It is very likely to intensify gradually into a cyclonic storm during the subsequent 72 hours. It is very likely to move northwestwards and reach West Bengal- Odisha coasts around May 26 evening&#8221;.</p>
<p>Other atmospheric and oceanic conditions like favourable environment for the movement. Furthermore, Sea surface temperatures are also favourable at the time to form persistent clouds. These conditions will help in the formation of the cyclonic storm from May 22. The fishermen and the boats will be instructed not to move out in the sea from May 22.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The meteorological department has issued an &#8216;orange&#8217; alert for heavy rain in several parts of Delhi. The Met department said in its latest statement that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Delhi. The weakening of the cyclonic storm Tauktae and the western disturbance is the reason of the scenario. Strong winds are also expected to blow with a speed of 60 kmph.</p>
<p>The IMD has also predicted water eruption in various areas which will cause major traffic disruption. Delhi and the neighbouring areas have received a moderate rainfall today.  According to the weather office, the rainfall is most likely to decrease on Thursday.</p>
<p>The highest temperature in the moved to a bit more than 30 degrees celsius because of the wind and the rainfall. This is the lowest temperature recorded in the month of May since the last four years.</p>

According to the reports of the news agency, ANI, the Gujarat government on Tuesday decided to suspend the Covid-19 vaccination drive. The Chief Minister&#8217;s Office said,&#8221;In view of current situation of Cyclone Tauktae in Gujarat, Covid-19 vaccination drive has been suspended in the state and will resume on May 20&#8243;.</p>
<p>In the meantime, Cyclone Tauktae killed atleast seven people in Gujarat. It has left behind an aftermath of destruction along the coast. It uprooted the electric poles and tress and damaged several houses and roads.</p>
<p>The cyclone has now weakened into a &#8220;cyclonic storm&#8221; and will slowly become just a &#8220;deep depression&#8221;. The cyclone has caused heavy rainfall in various parts of the states. The rainfall has caused water logging in Ahmedabad.</p>

It wreaked havoc in various places of Goa and Maharashtra. The cyclone reached Mumbai on May 17 and had a disastrous effect in the city. The cyclone has killed at least six people in Maharashtra and four people in Gujarat. It has also injured several people.</p>
<p>Several videos of this disastrous cyclone are circulated through various social media platforms showing the ferocity of the same. One of the clips contain a video of the Gateway of India getting hit by the ferocious waves. Some of these videos are shot through the Taj Hotel showing the waves hitting the metal barricades. It also portrays the sound of the winds that are continuously howling at a high speed. The video surely shows the ferocious face of the nature.</p>
