]]>While expressing his views to ANI, Singh said that it was very surprising that CBI hasn’t been able to do anything. The lawyer opined that CBI should have done custodial interrogation of persons named in FIR and those who were at his residence especially (Siddharth) Pithani because he changed his stand.
Expressing shock over the reports saying that AIIMS has confirmed that SSR died by suicide, the lawyer of the Sushant’s family said, “I have seen some AIIMS reports coming out. The same head of the premier institute told me personally when he had seen the strangulation mark from the picture of the actor that it is 200% strangulation. Now, suddenly he’s saying it is a pure and simple case of suicide.”
He hoped that the new CBI Director will give priority to the Sushant death case and get the chargesheet filed at the earliest.

]]>SSR’s father has contended that the filmmakers are taking advantage of the situation for commercial gains and therefore, the right to freedom of speech and expression would not apply to them
Plaintiff (Singh) has apprehension that various plays, movies, web-series, books, interviews or other material may be published which would harm the reputation of the son of the plaintiff and his family,” the suit, which has sought damages of over Rs two crores from the filmmakers for “loss of reputation, mental trauma and harassment” to Rajput’s family, has claimed.
It has also claimed that in case a “movie, web-series, book or any other content of similar nature is allowed to be published or broadcasted, it would affect the right of the victim and deceased for a free and fair trial as it may cause prejudice to them”.
The suit has also contended that Rajput being a well-known celebrity, “any misuse of his name/ image/ caricature/ style of delivering dialogues also amounts to infringement of the personality right vested with the plaintiff besides amounting to acts of passing off”.
The contention of Rajput’s father have been opposed by the filmmakers of the upcoming and proposed movies.

]]>Dinesh Vijan has told from his production house Maddock Films that he did not give any money to Sushant. The statement says, “Maddock Films did not pay Sushant Singh Rajput in Hungary. And Maddock did not even take payment of 17 crore rupees from the actor in fees or any other way in Hungary, as mentioned in your article.
We paid the entire payment to Sushant for the film Raabta in the same way as it was written in his agreement and which he signed. And this payment was given to him in India. We had also submitted strong evidence of this payment to the Department (ED). Also note that the T-series handled all the funding and money for the shooting in Hungary. You can also confirm this with T-series.

Paul Bartle is close to the drug supplier Agisialos Demetriades (brother of Gabriel, Arjun Rampal’s live-in partner) and Arjun Rampal. According to NCB sources, Arjun Rampal and Paul Bartal may be questioned face to face.
The name of Arjun and his live-in partner surfaced in this case when the NCB recovered Hashish and Alprazolam tablets from Agisialos Demetriades, the brother of Gabriela Demetriades. Currently, Agisialos Demetriades is under the control of NCB. According to NCB sources, they have found electronic evidence against Arjun and Gabriella.

]]>The 28-year-old actress is accused of abetting Rajput’s suicide. Her brother Showik Chakraborty was also called by the CBI for the fourth day in a row for questioning in the case, the official said.
Rhea Chakraborty and her brother reached the DRDO guest house at Kalina in Santacruz, where the probe team is stationed, around 10.30 am, he said. A Mumbai Police vehicle escorted the car in which the two arrived at the guest house, he said. Rajput’s manager Samual Miranda and domestic help Keshav also reached the guest house in the morning.
Earlier, Rhea Chakraborty was questioned for nearly 10 hours on Friday and allowed to return home under police escort as a large number of media personnel were present outside her building. She was quizzed for around seven hours on Saturday. Her brother is being questioned by the CBI since Thursday.
On Saturday, the CBI also questioned Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani, cook Neeraj Singh and accountant Rajat Mewati at the guest house. Rajput (34) was found hanging in his flat in suburban Bandra on June 14.
Rhea Chakraborty had been earlier questioned by the Mumbai Police in the case. The Enforcement Directorate has also quizzed her in a related money laundering case.
The Supreme Court last week upheld the transfer of an FIR, lodged by Rajput’s father in Patna against the actress and others for allegedly abetting his son’s suicide and misappropriating his money, to the CBI.

]]>The police team reached Chakraborty’s house as per the request made by the ED, the official said. “The ED requested the Mumbai police to reach their house and escort Rhea’s father Indrajit out as it wants to question him,” the police official said.
“Accordingly, some police personnel reached their residence in the afternoon and took her father along for a questioning by the central agency,” he added. However, he did not specify whether her father was taken to the ED office in south Mumbai or some other location.
