										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has announced that the <strong>second phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)</strong> of electoral rolls will soon begin across <strong>12 States and Union Territories</strong>.</p>
<p>Speaking on the process, Kumar stated that the <strong>voter lists of these regions will be frozen at midnight tonight</strong>, marking the official start of the next phase of revision. Every voter included in these lists will receive a <strong>Unique Enumeration Form</strong>, distributed by the Booth Level Officers (BLOs). These forms will contain all the details currently available in the official voter rolls.</p>
<p>Once the BLOs begin distributing the forms, existing voters will be asked to <strong>verify their details</strong> by cross-checking whether their names appear on the<strong> 2003 voter list</strong>. Kumar clarified that if a voter’s name is found on the 2003 list, <strong>no additional documents will be required</strong>. Similarly, if a voter’s parents’ names are listed from that period, they too are exempt from providing further documentation.</p>
<p>To make the verification process more transparent, the <strong>voter lists from 2002 to 2004</strong> will be made publicly accessible on the Election Commission’s official website — <strong>[http://voters.eci.gov.in](http://voters.eci.gov.in)</strong> — allowing citizens to perform the matching themselves.</p>
