The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched a GSLV-F10 rocket from Sriharikota spaceport today at 05:43 hours, as planned, carrying an earth observation satellite (EOS-03).</p>
<p>The performance of the first and second stages was normal, according to the space agency. However, due to a technical glitch, the Cryogenic Upper Stage did not ignite. The task could not be finished on time.</p>
<p>Mr. Nair, who served as ISRO Chairman for six years beginning in 2003 and completed 25 successful missions, said that setbacks like this are common and that ISRO should not lose hope.</p>

Nasa experts have been working on repairing the school bus-sized flying observatory, which has been plagued by problems a decade before.</p>
<p>Nasa has already finished a test of the processes that will be used to reset the payload computer, which crashed on June 13 and forced all of the science equipment into a safe mode configuration. By next week, the process may be tested on the telescope.</p>
