<p>On Thursday, a video of the event went viral on social media, showing other students at Sadbhavna Shikshan Sansthan Junior High School staring in disbelief as headmaster Manoj Vishwakarma dangled the child upside down.</p>

<p>The child was punished, according to the police, because he ate gol gappas outside the school without alerting the teacher. Vishwakarma grabbed the minor pupil by the ankles and turned him upside down as soon as he returned to school.</p>

<p>On October 8, the court found the Dera head and others guilty. Avtar Singh, Krishan Lal, Jasbir Singh, and Sabdil Singh are the other defendants in the case. Inder Sain, one of the defendants, died during the trial in 2020. The court fined the Dera leader Rs 31 lakh, Sabdil Rs 1.50 lakh, Jasbir and Krishan Rs 1.25 lakh apiece, and Avtar Rs 75,000.</p>
