<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Lucknow Bench of the High Court has given its verdict on the reservation system for seats in the UP Panchayat elections. The High Court said that considering the year 2015 as the original year, reservation should be implemented on the allocation of seats and issued a directive to complete this process by 25 March. On this, a division bench of Justice Rituraj Awasthi and Justice Manish Mathur has issued orders to hold the three-tier panchayat elections by May 25. Lucknow High Court has cleared the stance of Allahabad High Court on the situation of confusion regarding reservation in the three-tier panchayat elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh. Now after the decision of the High Court, there will be some delay in the Panchayat elections. The High Court has also ordered a panchayat to be conducted under the new system by 25 May. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"> It was said in the petition that under Rule 4 of the Rules for the implementation of reservation in Panchayat elections, reservation is applied to the seats of Zilla Panchayat, Kshetra Panchayat and Gram Panchayat. The elections of 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2010 were held with regard to the implementation of reservation as the year of origin. Explain that the Advocate General of the Government admitted in the court that there was a mistake in reservation rotation from the government. After which the government asked for time for the new reservation rotation. On which the High Court ordered to complete the panchayat elections by 25 May instead of 15 May.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"> It is worth noting that the High Court, while giving the verdict on the petition filed on behalf of Ajay Kumar, said that the work should be completed by considering 2015 as the base year of reservation. Earlier, the state government itself stated in the court that considering 2015 as the base year, it is ready to implement the system of reservation in three-tier elections. After this fact came to light, the court has ordered to complete the panchayat elections by 25 May.</p>
