<p>The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy torrential rains in portions of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand through July 28 in its most recent forecast. According to the meteorological service, severe to very heavy rainfall activity is expected in these regions on July 26 due to the effect of the western end of the monsoon.</p>
<p>The meteorological service has projected heavy rain throughout north and east India during the next three to four days, according to PTI. As per indications, the low-pressure region over northwest Madhya Pradesh has diminished.</p>

Rainfall momentum is likely to intensify across the Western Himalayan Region and surrounding plains of northwest India beginning on July 26th, as per reports.</p>
