<p>A series of protests arranged by Danish-Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan provoked the violence. He claims to have already burnt a version of Islam&#8217;s sacred book and intends to do it once again. Muslims regard the Quran as God&#8217;s precious message, and any deliberate destruction or display of disdain for it is considered profoundly disrespectful.</p>
