He announced an 11% increase in dearness allowance for state government employees and urged them to sit for talks and refrain from agitating over any of their demands until the next assembly election.</p>

<p>He, however, refused to comment on Advocate General APS Deol&#8217;s resignation. However, an officer in the CMO confirmed that the resignation had been accepted and that the next steps would be announced soon.</p>
