After the pageant win, both the divas starred together alongside superstar Akshay Kumar in the 2003 romantic film ‘Andaaz’.
Speaking about Pradeep Guha, the late producer was both Priyanka and Lara’s mentor at the Miss India pageant. Both the actors expressed grief over the demise of the former in their social media posts.
Meanwhile, on their work front, Lara Dutta was seen in the recently released Ranjit M Tewari directorial ‘Bellbottom’ alongside Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor.
On the other hand, Priyanka has an impressive lineup of projects in her kitty that includes the much-awaited film ‘Matrix 4’. Apart from that, she will also be seen in ‘Text For You’ and recently announced Bollywood film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, which will mark actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar’s return as a director. She is currently in London for the shoot of her upcoming series ‘Citadel’.

Actress Jameela Jamil too slammed the show saying the show is turning activism into a game. “Couldn’t they just give the money it’s going to take to pay this UNBELIEVABLY expensive talent and make this show, directly to activist causes? Rather than turning activism into a game and then giving a fraction of the much needed money away in a “prize…?” People are dying,” she tweeted.
“I’m confused: Is this an advanced Marxist critique to expose how competition for money and attention pits activists against each other + undermines deep change? Or just the end of the world?” tweeted a user.
“Priyanka Chopra, who has remained Modi’s supporter through thick & thin, as he jailed students, activists, poets & intellectuals in India…. is hosting called “The Activist” show to promote social justice in America!! The hypocrisy is nauseating,” said another.
Whereas a user called the concept gross. “This is truly horrific, lol. A reality competition show on who can be the next Insta-activist? It’s performative at best, and kinda makes light of the hard work a lot of grassroots organisations do on the ground, on a daily basis. Gross.”

On Tuesday, Priyanka had also shared a picture with her husband Nick Jonas, letting her fans know that he had come to meet her in London. However, he was not a part of the picnic date. Sharing a picture of the two of them cuddling, Priyanka wrote on Instagram, “He’s home.”
While Priyanka has been in London since late last year, Nick has been in Los Angeles, shooting for his reality show or other projects. Priyanka first shot for her romantic comedy Text For You in London, which also stars Sam Hueghan and Celine Dion. She then promoted her movies The White Tiger and We Can Be Heroes from London as well. She also launched her autobiography, Unfinished, from there.

Priyanka has been filming back-to-back projects in the UK. She completed work on Text for You, a romantic film in which she co-stars with Sam Heughan, and immediately got to work on her Amazon Prime Video spy series Citadel, executive produced by the Russo brothers, Joe and Anthony.
Priyanka also has The Matrix 4, a romantic comedy written by Mindy Kaling, a wedding-themed reality show, a biopic of Ma Anand Sheela, and her big Bollywood comeback lined up. Priyanka was last seen in We Can Be Heroes and The White Tiger, both of which released on Netflix.

Recently, Priyanka was announced as the new face of lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret. Priyanka took to her Instagram to share the news with her fans, saying, “Representation matters. It’s crucial for us to show everyone ALL over the world that they matter and are seen! As a founding partner of #TheVSCollective and advisor to the business this is exactly what I intend to do.”
It’s been so incredible to see your reactions to yesterday’s announcement. It’s fuelled me further and I am excited to bring about meaningful change at one of the worlds most iconic brands. ]]>Krrish is a sequel to Rakesh Roshan directed Koi Mil Gaya, the first movie in his superhero franchise. The prequel set the tone for what was to arrive in the form of Krrish.
Krrish revolved around the titular superhero’s quest to stop a scientist from misusing his father’s IQ to build a computer that could foresee the future. The villain here was a refreshing change from the likes of Mogambo and Shakal, whose ultimate aim was world domination.
The film also worked because it managed to connect with the young generation. Above all else, it had Hrithik Roshan, the actor who was cut out for such action-packed roles, given his personality, talent and six-packs, of course. His character’s transformation from Krishna to Krrish, his struggle to keep his alter ego guarded and his love story with Priya made Krrish a perfect Bollywood potboiler.
Lest we forget, Krrish also had a great supporting cast, including Priyanka Chopra, Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah, Bin Xia and Yu Xuan. And the icing on the cake was Hrithik himself playing a double role of father and son (Rohit from Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish).
