										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-weight: 400">On Sunday afternoon, Nine tourists were killed and three others injured after heavy boulders, set loose by a massive landslide, fell on their van near Basteri village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The tourists were coming from Chitkul , the last inhabited village near the border with China in Kinnaur to Sangla, when the landslide, triggered by incessant rains, hit the Sangla-Chitkul road. Huge rocks and boulders fell on the road and led to the collapse of a bridge over the Bapsa river that connects Batseri village with the rest of the Kinnaur. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Prime minister Modi expressed his condolences for the deaths and announced ex-gratia of Rs 2lakh each to the next of kin of those killed in the accident and Rs.50,000 to the injured. </span></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-weight: 400">On Thursday, three people died after about 30 villagers fell into a well during a rescue operation in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district . Nineteen people have been rescued and rushed to a hospital, said the police. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">As per officials, the parapet wall around the well collapsed due to the weight of people who were trying to rescue the boy. The well is around 50 feet deep with a water level of about 20 feet, news agency PTI reported quoting locals . “The national Disaster Management Force and state Disaster management force have been pressed into action. Inspector General, zone and other official officials have also reached the spot. I am in touch with the Concerned officials,” Mr Chouhan told the media. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Mr Chouchan also announced a compensation of Rs.5 lakh each to the family of the victims, those injured will be given Rs.50,000 provided free treatment facility, he said. </span></p>
