<p>He said: “In Sindagi, we won with a huge margin. We were are not able to get the vote at the level of late MLA CM Udasi. It is the first reason. Secondly, people supported Congress candidate Srinivas Mane for his works in the constituency for the last two-three years including at the time of Covid-19. So, we are defeated. I am accepting the defeat. Party leaders and workers worked very hard for the victory in the Hangal constituency. I thank all of them.”</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The ruling Janata Dal (United) or JD(U) in Bihar, which has put its alliance partner, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in a bind by demanding a probe into the Pegasus case and teaming up with rival Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) to demand a caste census, plans to make an impact in the 2022 elections in Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Manipur, according to party leaders.</p>
<p>The JD(U) is a state party in Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh, and building a name for itself in UP and Manipur will allow it to apply for national status, allowing it to have a say in national politics.</p>
<p>Insiders in the JD(U) think that Nitish Kumar&#8217;s demand for a caste census has pushed him to national leadership stature, as numerous opposition parties are now demanding it along with the general census in 2022. It is yet to be approved by the Centre.</p>
