The motion, which bears the signatures of 118 members, is expected to be taken up for discussion on March 9.</p>
<blockquote><p><span style="color: #008000;"><em>The opposition has leveled serious allegations against the Speaker, primarily focusing on the suppression of the Leader of the Opposition’s voice during the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address and the forced suspension of eight members. In response to these developments, sources indicate that Om Birla has decided on ethical grounds not to occupy the Speaker’s chair until the matter is resolved.</em></span></p></blockquote>
<p>The Lok Sabha Secretariat has confirmed that proceedings will follow established rules.
