]]>BDR Pharma has inked a pact with the Defence Research and Development Establishment (DRDE) and the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) of the DRDO for manufacturing , distribution, and marketing of 2-DG in the country.
Last month, the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) had approved the oral medication for emergency usage as adjuvant therapy in mild to severe COVID-19 patients.
“Our aim is to ramp up the availability of successful treatment and coordinate manufacturing so that there is no scarcity of drugs to give to people fighting the diseases,” BDR Pharmaceuticals CMD Dharmesh Shah said in a statement.

]]>55 of 60 cases reported this time were found to have a consistent causal association to vaccination . Of these , 36 were anxiety-related reactions and 18 were product-related , while one was categorised as both.
The National Adverse Events following Immunization (AEFI) Committee , which conducts causality assessment of AEFIs for COVID-19 , completed its assessment on May 27.
It has submitted its report to the Union Health Ministry.
The AEFIs June report included one death of a fully vaccinated person. It was labelled “Vaccine product-related reaction” or anaphylaxis.

]]>The cabinet has decided to maintain the status quo in Sattupalli, Mathira, Nallagonda, Nagarjuna Sagar, Devarakonda, Munugoda, Miryalaguda and other constituencies where the COVID-19 cases are still high.
The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting convened on Tuesday, June 8, at Pragati Bhavan in Hyderabad, the official camp office of Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao.
Presently the lockdown is being relaxed everyday from 6 Am to 1 PM and a grace period of one hour, up to 2 PM, for the people to reach homes. As on June 8, Telangana has over 24,000 active COVID-19 cases.

It is unclear why he stepped down as the chief of the consortium. Reports say that he had been critical of the government’s Covid policies.
The Centre set up INSACOG to detect genomic variants of the SARS CoV 2, after concerns that the B117 variant may have entered the country. The variant, found to be more transmissible, was first detected in the UK.
Last week, Shahid Jameel had said that the second wave may have flattened but the climb down will be a more prolonged, long-drawn-out process than the first and will possibly run till July.

Sushil Verma is posted as Assistant Professor at Orai Medical College. The couple bought a flat number 8 on the eighth floor of the fifth tower of the Rudra apartment. Both were living in it. He also has a two-year-old son. Dr. Manju Verma was preparing for MS after doing MBBS from Swaroop Rani Medical College Prayagraj. The son was not practicing due to being small.
Father Arjun Prasad, who arrived from Prayagraj, said that Dr. Sushil had taken a loan of 40 lakhs to buy a flat in the name of the daughter. Dr. Sushil Verma was pressurizing his wife Manju Verma for loan repayment. Doctor Manju said from where she will pay 40 lakh rupees. There was a dispute between the couple about this.
