<p>The incident occurred on Friday night in Nelakanker village, situated under the jurisdiction of the Usur police station. According to police officials, a group of armed Naxalites stormed the village, forcibly dragged out two men, identified as Ravi Kattam (25) and Tirupati Sodhi (38), from their homes, and attacked them with sharp-edged weapons. Both men died at the scene of the attack.</p>
<p>Following the assault, the Naxalites quickly fled the area, leaving the villagers in fear. Local police were immediately notified and have since launched an investigation into the killings.</p>
<p>This attack is part of an ongoing series of Naxalite-related violence targeting villagers in the Bastar division, which includes seven districts, such as Bijapur. The region has seen heightened tensions as Naxalites continue to assert their presence, often targeting local populations.</p>
