										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According to data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday morning, India recorded 62,480 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total coronavirus tally to 2,97,62,793. Kerala has the most Covid-19 instances (12,469), followed by Maharashtra (9,830), Tamil Nadu (9,118), Andhra Pradesh (6,151), and Karnataka (5,983).</p>
<p>These five states account for as many as 69.7% of new coronavirus infections, with Kerala alone accounting for 19.96% of new cases.</p>
<p>Nevertheless, for the 36th straight day, regular recoveries remain to exceed daily new cases. So far, a total of 2,85,80,647 recoveries have been recorded across the country, with 88,977 additional individuals healed in the previous 24 hours.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A mini lockdown has been imposed in the state of Maharashtra, which is most affected by the corona virus.  On Tuesday, the Uddhav Thackeray government announced this, saying that by April 30, people will be unnecessarily forbidden to leave the house.  During this period Section 144 will remain in force in the state.  At the same time, after Maharashtra, the call for lockdown has started to be heard again in the country&#8217;s most populous state Uttar Pradesh.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"> On Tuesday, the Allahabad High Court has advised the Yogi Adityanath government of the state to consider a complete lockdown of two-three weeks.  Hearing the PIL filed in the Corona case, a division bench of Justices Siddharth Verma and Justice Ajit Kumar said on Tuesday that the Knight or Corona curfew are small steps to stop the spread of infection.  It is not correct to impose lockdown, but given the way the infection is spreading, the government should consider lockdown in cities with more infections.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><br>  However, CM Yogi Adityanath is not in favor of a lockdown in the state again.  He recently said that he has to save the lives of people in the state and also save Ajivika.  Earlier, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray also announced not to re-install the lockdown in his state.  But when the circumstances of the state worsened, they had to consider it with limited restrictions.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">COVID-19 case tally in the country stands at 35,42,734 including 7,65,302 active cases, 27,13,934 cured/discharged/migrated and 63,498 deaths, says the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Meanwhile, the total number of samples tested up to August 29 is 4,14,61,636 including 10,55,027 samples tested yesterday, says the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).</p>
