“Chandrayaan-3 is likely to be launched during the third quarter of 2022 assuming normal work flow henceforth,” he said.
Chandrayaan-3 is critical for Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) as it will demonstrate India’s capabilities to make landings for further interplanetary missions.

]]>BDR Pharma has inked a pact with the Defence Research and Development Establishment (DRDE) and the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) of the DRDO for manufacturing , distribution, and marketing of 2-DG in the country.
Last month, the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) had approved the oral medication for emergency usage as adjuvant therapy in mild to severe COVID-19 patients.
“Our aim is to ramp up the availability of successful treatment and coordinate manufacturing so that there is no scarcity of drugs to give to people fighting the diseases,” BDR Pharmaceuticals CMD Dharmesh Shah said in a statement.

Declaring the outbreak a national emergency could pave the way for more federal government involvement in stemming the crisis. “We have an obligation on behalf of the nation to contain the virus,” said New South Wales premier Gladys Berejiklian . “There is no doubt that the numbers are not going in the right direction”.
Her state on Friday reported 136 new cases , a record for this outbreak , which now totals 1,782 .

]]>On Monday, the Union ministry said that the cumulative Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has surpassed 41 crore .
This signifies a major uptake from the first 10 crore doses that took 85 days to administer.
While the next 10 crore doses were administered in 45 days, almost half the time taken to give the first 10 crore doses, it was reduced further to 29 days taking the total count to 30 crore doses.
Health minister Mansikh Mandaviya tweeted on Monday attributing the feat to the “vaccine for all , free vaccine” campaign.

The National Adverse Events following Immunization (AEFI) Committee , which conducts causality assessment of AEFIs for COVID-19 , completed its assessment on May 27.
It has submitted its report to the Union Health Ministry.
The AEFIs June report included one death of a fully vaccinated person. It was labelled “Vaccine product-related reaction” or anaphylaxis.

]]>The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed that the city’s water supply will be restored only once the electricity is back at the Bhandup complex.
The civic body has asked Mumbaikars to use water sparingly until the supply is fully restored. It also asked citizens to boil water before consuming for maximum safety.
Meanwhile, power outages have been reported in various parts of the city including Colaba, Bandra, Kurla, Malad, Kandivali, Ghatkopar, Mahalaxmi, Sewri, Wadala and Mumbai Central.
The downpour, which started after midnight, continued non-stop and led to waterlogging or flooding in several low-lying areas of Mumbai.
Also, as many as 25 persons have been killed in over 10 different incidents across the city as rains wreaked havoc on Sunday.
At least 17 persons were killed when a wall collapsed after a tree fell at Vashi Naka, New Bharat Nagar in the Chembur area around 1 am.
In another incident, at least 3 people perished when a few hutments caved in the Suryanagar slums in Vikhroli east.
