<p>According to the reports of THE HINDU newspaper, the Police Supritendent of Moga, Gudeep Singh said that the incident took place around 9.30 pm on Thursday. He said,&#8221;Our police rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the information about the incident. The aircraft crashed in an open field near the village. After a search operation amid the rainfall, we recovered the body of the pilot at around 3 a.m. He was dead at the time when the body was recovered. The medical team of IAF was also accompanying us and the medical officer of IAF confirmed that the pilot was dead&#8221;.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Air India Express on Wednesday informed that 85 passengers injured in the plane crash in Kozhikode have been discharged from hospitals after &#8220;obtaining complete fitness&#8221;.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><br>&#8220;As on date, 85 injured passengers have been discharged from various hospitals after obtaining their complete fitness. AIR INDIA EXPRESS LIMITED will release further information as soon as it is available,&#8221; the letter from the organisation read.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><br>The Air India Express flight carrying 190 passengers including 10 infants skidded while landing at Karipur airport in Kozhikode on August 7.<br>Earlier, Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that an inquiry has been ordered under the Aircraft Act, black boxes of flight IX-1344 have been recovered and added that the findings of this investigation will be made public. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The pilots of the ill-fated Air India Express Flight No IX 1344 from Dubai to Kozhikode has been identified as Captain Deepak Vasant Sathe and First Officer Akhilesh Kumar.  Captain Sathe was a former Indian Air Force Test pilot. He was commissioned into service in 1981 and served in the force for 22 years.  </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"> Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on the phone after an Air India Express plane coming from Dubai overshot the runway at the Kozhikode airport on Friday. He was informed by the chief minister that a team of officials including Kozhikode and Malappuram district collectors and IG Ashok Yadav have arrived at the airport to participate in the rescue operation. </p>
