]]> Peakboy, a solo musician from South Korea, is releasing a new song. The  singer is about to unleash his new single, ‘Gyopo Hair,’ which has appearances from a slew of celebrities. Popular South Korean stars Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, and Choi Woo Shik will appear, as will singer-songwriter V from BTS, the world’s biggest band, and model-turned-actor Han Hyun Min.

As per the Korean news site OSEN, the next single is an electronic hip-hop music named after a classic 90s hairdo that is also Peakboy’s favourite. On July 25, 2021, the bonus track will be released.

]]> According to the New York Times, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has referred to K-pop, a South Korean music form, as a “vicious disease” that is destroying the country’s youngsters. Kim Jong Un and the State media from North Korea have gathered against South Korean pop culture in the last months, including films, K-dramas, and K-pop videos.

State media in the North have warned that North Korea “would fall like a damp wall” because of increasing pop’s effect on youngsters, what it calls the “anti-socialist and non-socialist” effect.

Kim has seemed lately to have proclaimed South Korea war of culture, as the leader in North Korea feels that the popular South culture is influencing the youthful “appearances, haircuts, speeches and conduct.”

]]> The band BTS has launched their new song on YouTube and it has already broken records. It recorded the fastest 10- million views in just 13 minutes after the premiere. It broke its own record of the song ‘Dynamite’ that managed to do  the same in just 21 minutes. The song is titled ‘Butter’ and has become the fastest video in the history of YouTube to cross 10 million views. The video crossed 53 million views in the first seven hours of the premiere, and 5.4 million YouTube users liked it. Their earlier song ‘Dynamite’ was their first song which was premiered entirely in English. It was the biggest 24-hour debut on YouTube with over 101.1 million views

A content distribution and management platform, Popbase released the numbers, however YouTube will release the numbers in a few days. The K-pop band released the official teaser of the song on Tuesday which was also a hit. It received 1 million likes within 45 minutes of the teaser launch. After popbase released the numbers, fans shared their excitement through sharing various tweets.
