]]> It began by joining branches with the RSS and participating in the national religion. He joined this organization in 1979 but due to his organizational capacity he was made a pracharak of Dehradun region in 1985. Seeing his ability, the Bharatiya Janata Party connected him to himself and Rawat’s politics began to flourish with it. The party made him the organizational secretary of the Uttarakhand region. At that time, there was a big name of leaders like Lalji Tandon in BJP with whom Trivendra Singh Rawat got a chance to work.
It was during this period that the Uttarakhand movement started, with which Rawat was actively involved. He was arrested several times during the agitation. The result of the movement was that in the year 2000, Uttarakhand got the status of a separate state and it got separated from Uttar Pradesh. As soon as a separate state was formed, Trivendra Singh Rawat was made the party president of the Uttarakhand unit. The ups and downs in politics are common and Rawat is also not untouched by this. He lost the by-election to Doiwala in 2014. This seat was vacated by the then Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Rawat stood from this seat. However, Rawat avenged this defeat in 2017 and he won the same seat in 2017.
Trivendra Singh Rawat has also had a relationship with some controversies. For example, on July 27, 2017, he was surrounded by a tweet in which he was accused of favoring the Garhwali language more than the Kumauni language. Another controversy erupted in July 2019 when he made a statement that animals are cows that release oxygen, not carbon dioxide, and that staying close to cows cures TB disease. His statement created a lot of uproar and various questions were raised on his ‘information’. Despite all this, Trivendra Singh Rawat is counted among those leaders of Uttarakhand who rose from the ordinary level to become the state’s Agriculture Minister and later took over as the Chief Minister.
There was not even a full 22 years of this state, but there has hardly been a Chief Minister who has served his full term. The names of many leaders are coming as the next Chief Minister. It will be seen whether his tenure will be completed or the hill state of Uttarakhand will be waiting for a full-time Chief Minister.

]]>The three were carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 each on information leading to their arrest, the SP said. A stick and two axes used in the crime have been recovered, he said. The SP said a local court had issued a non-bailable warrant against the three accused.
Ratan Singh (45), who worked with a Hindi news channel, was shot dead on August 24 night in the Phephana police station area of the district. A day later, a police officer was suspended while six people were arrested in connection with the murder.
Ballia’s Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sanjay Yadav had earlier said that on the complaint of the journalist’s father, six people — Sushil Singh, Dinesh Singh, Arvind Singh, Suneel Singh, Vir Bahadur Singh and Vinay Singh –have been arrested. He added that Phephana police station in-charge Shashi Mauli Pandey was suspended. He said the complaint was lodged against 10 people.
According to the ASP, the journalist’s father, Vinod Singh, alleged that Sonu Singh of their village had called his son to his house around 8 pm where the accused were waiting with lathis and a revolver and they killed him.
Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar had stated on August 24 night that Ratan Singh had a property dispute with his neighbour and after a fight between the two, he was shot dead. — PTI
