										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thunderstorms with light to moderate frequency rain are expected in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD indicated in a recent update that thunderstorms with light to moderate severity rain would develop over and around Delhi, North-East Delhi, East Delhi, and the National Capital Region ( Noida, Ghaziabad).</p>
<p>Earlier this morning, the department stated that monsoon circumstances in Delhi remained promising and that it was closely following the situation. The agency had anticipated rain in the national capital beginning on July 10th, but the monsoon rejected the forecast and there was no precipitation in the national capital.</p>

<p>The IMD forecasts overcast skies with medium rain/thundershowers throughout the urban core. There is also a chance of heavy to very heavy rain in remote areas.</p>
<p>Earlier, forecasters expected that rainfall would begin on Saturday, but this has been delayed owing to the creation of an east-west shear zone (an region packed with conflicting winds) over the north Konkan coast.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After the severe cyclonic storm Tauktae, the country is facing a new threat of cyclonic storm. The cyclone is very likely to hit the coasts of West Bengal and Odisha by May 26-27. The India Meteorological department  gave the information on Wednesday.</p>
<p>The MeT department also said that a low-pressure area is to form over the north Andaman sea and the east-central Bay of Bengal. The depression holds the capability to intensify into a cyclonic storm which will form from May 21.</p>
<p>The Cyclone warning division of the IMD said,&#8221;It is very likely to intensify gradually into a cyclonic storm during the subsequent 72 hours. It is very likely to move northwestwards and reach West Bengal- Odisha coasts around May 26 evening&#8221;.</p>
<p>Other atmospheric and oceanic conditions like favourable environment for the movement. Furthermore, Sea surface temperatures are also favourable at the time to form persistent clouds. These conditions will help in the formation of the cyclonic storm from May 22. The fishermen and the boats will be instructed not to move out in the sea from May 22.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The meteorological department has issued an &#8216;orange&#8217; alert for heavy rain in several parts of Delhi. The Met department said in its latest statement that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Delhi. The weakening of the cyclonic storm Tauktae and the western disturbance is the reason of the scenario. Strong winds are also expected to blow with a speed of 60 kmph.</p>
<p>The IMD has also predicted water eruption in various areas which will cause major traffic disruption. Delhi and the neighbouring areas have received a moderate rainfall today.  According to the weather office, the rainfall is most likely to decrease on Thursday.</p>
<p>The highest temperature in the moved to a bit more than 30 degrees celsius because of the wind and the rainfall. This is the lowest temperature recorded in the month of May since the last four years.</p>
