New Delhi | Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed all concerned departments to work collectively to protect citizens from cyber fraud. He emphasized that banks, the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre and other agencies must coordinate their efforts to ensure that fraudsters are identified and apprehended at the earliest.

Shah was addressing a conference organized with the support of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre. He stated that the mule account detection system developed by the ministry should be adopted by all banks to prevent misuse of financial channels by criminals.

Highlighting the growing threat, the Home Minister said that in the country one person falls victim to cyber fraud every 37 seconds. On average, about 90 individuals are cheated every hour. As digital transactions continue to rise rapidly, the risk associated with cyber crimes is also increasing. He noted that these crimes are emerging in an organized manner and criminals are adopting new technologies, making collective action essential.

Shah also instructed police officials to ensure adequate staffing at the 1930 cyber helpline call centers so that complaints can be handled promptly and effectively.

In a separate development, the central government has tightened regulations for social media platforms. Under the new rules, any photo or video created using artificial intelligence must carry a clear label indicating that it is AI generated. If any unlawful or misleading content is uploaded on these platforms, companies will be required to remove it within three hours of receiving information about it.

The new regulations will come into effect from February 20. Non compliance may invite strict action and financial penalties. The government stated that these measures aim to enhance transparency, prevent misuse of technology and strengthen the country’s cyber security framework.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared that the punishment for those involved in the recent Delhi blast will send a strong message to the world that no one should ever attempt such an act again. He made these remarks through a video address during the inauguration of Shri Motibhai R Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School and Sagar Organic Plant at Boriyavi village in Gujarat’s Mehsana district.

Shah’s planned visit to Gujarat was canceled following the blast near the Red Fort on Monday evening which claimed thirteen lives. During his virtual address he emphasized that every individual connected to the attack would face the harshest legal consequences and assured that the Government of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs are fully committed to bringing justice.

He offered heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s determination to ensure strict punishment for the perpetrators of this terrorist act would be fulfilled. Shah added that such action would demonstrate to the global community that India will never tolerate terrorism.

Highlighting the country’s global stance against terrorism he said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership the world has witnessed India’s decisive efforts in combating terror over the past eleven years. Shah was initially scheduled to attend a book fair in Ahmedabad and later inaugurate the Sainik School and Sagar Organic Plant of Dudhsagar Dairy but the visit was called off following the deadly car explosion in Delhi.

Soon, a law will be enacted on Love Jihad in Uttar Pradesh.  The Ministry of Home Affairs has sent its proposal to the Law Ministry.  Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka had announced that we will enact a new law after the murder of a young woman in Ballabgarh under the guise of the alleged Love Jihad.  So that the incidents of marriage can be stopped by greed, pressure, intimidation or bluff of marriage in the law.
Mohsin Raza, the minister of the Yogi government, said that now in UP, it will not work like girls to be converted by converting like a mission.  This is a strong message to those jihadis who are converting under its guise.  There is complete preparation to put such people in jail.
CM Yogi Adityanath had said that as the Allahabad High Court has clearly stated in one of its decisions that conversion to another religion marriage will be illegal.  The state government will bring a law with strict provisions in this regard and then the Ram name of those who do such actions will be true.
  – To convert religion, first state government and administration have to give notice before a certain period.  So that every single report is recorded in the government data.
 – It is also necessary to inform the people of their respective families so that they can take precaution on their behalf.  These precautions can be legal ie inheritance or will, moral or even family.
Only for the purpose of marriage or for the convenience of multi-wife marriage, it should be declared illegal to convert in other religion.  Punishment should also be strict, not just a name.  That means constitutional freedom to decide the path of your faith, but under a legal process.  It should not be only through the cost of deposit but also according to the entire legal basis.
