<p>Around 70 Hindu homes were set ablaze in Rangpur, Pirganj sub-district, on October 17, according to authorities. Shaikat Mandal and his accomplice Rabiul Islam were accused of provoking the unrest in Rangpur by spreading communal animosity on social media. In a pre-trial hearing on Monday, they admitted to their crime.</p>
