It will comprise of paediatricians  and IAS officers to protect the children from the third wave of Corona. A board of officials will also be formed to look after the availability of medicines, oxygen and beds.</p>
<p>Arvind Kejriwal called a meeting with the officials to analyse the current situation of the pandemic in Delhi. He also discussed the measures to be taken to control the third wave of the pandemic. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Health Minister Satyendar Jain were present at the meeting.</p>
<p>Mr. Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi,&#8221;If the third wave of the coronavirus emerges, we have to be prepared in advance to fight it. Took some important decisions today at a meeting with officials- to create a special task force to protect children from the third wave, adequate beds, oxygen and a better management of essential medicines&#8221;.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In a press statement, he said that self-medication can be dangerous while he also raised concern against the use of steam inhalation. &#8220;Hot and pressurized air&#8221; can cause damage to the lungs and also since during the inhalation mouth is opened, there is a huge risk of transmission of the virus. Since corona affects the lungs, he suggested people should not resort to this method without consulting their doctors first. </span></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Corona virus infection is spreading rapidly in the country once again. According to the Health Ministry, there are 1 lakh active cases in the last 24 hours in Maharashtra, whereas in Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat, the virus is spreading rapidly. According to the ministry, the recovery rate in the country remains at 97 percent and the death rate is 1.4 percent. Talking about active cases, its rate is 1.6 percent.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">ICMR Director-General Balram Bhargava said that the situation in Maharashtra is worrisome, although the reason for this is not the new strain. He said that this increase was due to less testing, tracking and negligence of people. He has appealed people not to take this dangerous virus lightly.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Health Ministry said that India has so far given 2.43 crore corona vaccine doses. 71% of the corona vaccine doses have been given in government hospitals and 28.77% in private hospitals.</p>
