										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Health, stated on Tuesday that the Centre has never instructed any state to register fewer fatalities or cases.</p>
<p>“The Centre collects and records systems submitted by state governments. Our only task is to disseminate such information. We have not instructed anybody to provide lower numbers (of fatalities) or fewer positive instances. There is no justification for that,” Mandaviya remarked during a Rajya Sabha debate.</p>
<p>He further stated that people&#8217;s resolve, together with PM Modi&#8217;s leadership, can safeguard us from a third wave.</p>
<p>Earlier this morning, the head of the alternative in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, stated that the administration, like demonetization, did not plan for a covid-19 shutdown and should be held liable for this.</p>
