										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Goa police are waiting for the Russian Consulate&#8217;s permission to conduct a postmortem of the body of a 24-year-old Russian actress, who was found dead in her apartment in North Goa district last week, an official said on Monday.</p>
<p>Alexandra Djavi, who acted in some Tamil movies including &#8220;Kanchana 3&#8221;, was found hanging in her rented flat in Siolim village of North Goa on Friday.</p>
<p>A senior police official said the body was kept in a mortuary while they were waiting for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Russian Consulate to conduct the autopsy.</p>
<p>The police have already started an investigation into the case and recorded the statement of her boyfriend, he said. The woman&#8217;s boyfriend, who was living with her in the same apartment, had gone out when she died</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A day after Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was slammed by the Opposition for blaming parents for the rape of two minor girls on a beach, arts and culture minister Govind Gaude on Friday said it was not possible for the government to post a constable to guard every girl in the state.</p>
<p>Govind Gaude said the protection of minor children was a joint responsibility of parents and the government.</p>
<p>&#8220;It is not that the government has raised it&#8217;s hands and is running away from its responsibility. But it is equally the responsibility of parents to know where their children are going and if the children have taken their permission to stay at somebody&#8217;s place or not,&#8221; Govind Gaude said.</p>
<p>&#8220;Who is suffering at the end, the parents suffer the most. How is it possible to appoint a security official or constable behind each and every girl,&#8221; Govind Gaude further said.</p>
<p>Goa tourism minister Manohar Azgaonkar too defended the remarks by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Cyclone Tauktae took a severe turn and entered Mumbai with very high tides and  extremely speeding winds. It wreaked havoc in various places of Goa and Maharashtra. The cyclone reached Mumbai on May 17 and had a disastrous effect in the city. The cyclone has killed at least six people in Maharashtra and four people in Gujarat. It has also injured several people.</p>
<p>Several videos of this disastrous cyclone are circulated through various social media platforms showing the ferocity of the same. One of the clips contain a video of the Gateway of India getting hit by the ferocious waves. Some of these videos are shot through the Taj Hotel showing the waves hitting the metal barricades. It also portrays the sound of the winds that are continuously howling at a high speed. The video surely shows the ferocious face of the nature.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Goa became the first state in India to be declared zero COVID-19, following Goa Manipur CM N Biren Singh has informed on Twitter that both the patients in the state, who were earlier declared coronavirus infected, have fully recovered and tested negative for the infection.<br> The first case in the state was that of a 23-year-old woman who had returned from the UK and the 65-year-old the second patient who contracted the disease following his return from the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi&#8217;s Nizamuddin have tested negative. <br>&#8220;I am glad to share that Manipur is now Corona free. Both patients have fully recovered and have tested negative. There are no fresh cases of the virus in the state,&#8221; Manipur CM N Biren Singh tweeted.<br>Manipur becomes the second state after Goa to become coronavirus-free in India. The coastal state of Goa had a total of seven positive cases, of whom six had travel history and one was the brother of a positive patient. </p>
