<p>As per a US official, US anti-missile defenses intercepted as many as five rockets fired at Kabul&#8217;s airport early Monday. According to local media accounts, today&#8217;s rocket strike was launched from the back of a car, according to Reuters. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident later that evening.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, a Taliban official said that the US drone strike on Sunday killed civilians and blamed the US for neglecting to notify the Taliban before carrying out the mission. At least ten members of a family, including children, were murdered in the bombing.</p>
