]]>Khatter, on the other hand, claimed that strictness was required to maintain law and order. During the farmer’s protest in Haryana, Karnal SDM Ayush Sinha, a 2018-batch IAS officer, was caught on camera asking police to smash farmers’ heads. The IAS officer, on the other hand, stated that he had not seen the viral video and that he would check it out and remark later.

]]>“The Kisan Parliament has awakened the deaf and dumb government. The farmer also knows how to run Parliament and teach a lesson to those who neglect him in the village. Nobody should forget that,” Tikait, the spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), said in a tweet.

He also called on the farmers to be united “to save the soul and freedom of India”.
Tikait’s comments came on the third day of farmers’ protest near Parliament where monsoon session is being held. The sit-in, which the protesters call ‘Kisan Sansad’ began at Jantar Mantar on Thursday amid heavy security.

Police threw a ring of security around central Delhi and kept a tight vigil on the movement of vehicles.
The Delhi government and police on Wednesday agreed to allow farmers to hold the Kisan Sansad at Jantar Mantar from today till August 9 between 11 am and 5 pm.
The protesters have been asked to give an undertaking that all Covid norms would be followed and the protest would be peaceful, PTI reported.
This is the first time since the violence in the national capital during a tractor rally on January 26 that the authorities have given permission to protesting farmer unions to hold a protest in the city.

]]>According to a plan announced by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha, a platform of farm unions spearheading the protests since November last year against the three laws, nearly 200 farmers will protest outside Parliament every day during the monsoon session.
The Samyukt Kisan Morcha also said farm organisations and like-minded groups would also hold countrywide protests against rising fuel prices on July 8.
Parliament is set to convene on July 19 for its upcoming monsoon session. Farm unions say they would soon dispatch a letter to all Opposition parties and lawmakers, urging them to raise the issue of the three farm laws during the entire session.
Farmers on tractors are likely to file into the Capital on July 21 evening. Accommodation arrangements have been beefed up at all current protest sites.

He also added that only if the farmers survive they will be called ‘annadata’. Only if they postpone the protest will they be able to save their lives and their crops. They will carry out the agitation later but the situation is not right currently. “We must be with the naqtions in these difficult times”, he added.
The farmers have been protesting for many months now against the new farm laws introduced by the centre last year.

So I'd like to request to farmers, that looking at the crisis in the country, we must postpone agitation for the time being: Bhopal Singh, Bharatiya Kisan Union (Kisan Sarkar) spox pic.twitter.com/rZPYZAYbYn
