<p dir="ltr">99.13 per cent boys and 99.67 per cent girls have passed the exams this year.</p>
<p dir="ltr">There were 17,016 foreign candidates who appeared for the exams, and 99.92 per cent have passed.</p>

<p dir="ltr">5.37 per cent candidates have scored over 95% on aggregate.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The board exams were cancelled this year in view of the aggressive second wave of Covid-19, and the results were announced on basis of an alternate assessment policy.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The board adopted a 30:30:40 formula to evaluate students based on the results of Class-X, XI and XII examinations respectively.</p>
<p dir="ltr">30% weightage has been given to class X and XI final results, respectively, and 40% to class XII pre-board exams</p>
<p dir="ltr">Some students were unhappy about the marking formula, and wanted that further weightage be given to class XII performance.</p>
<p dir="ltr">However the matter was settled after the marking formula was accpetd by the Supreme Court.</p>
<p dir="ltr">CBSE was the first to cancel Class XII exams on June 1; several other state boards followed.</p>

<p>Mr.Stalin said &#8220;Since no announcement on NEET has been made so far , I have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cancel all entrance examinations for admission in higher education.&#8221;</p>
<p>He also highlighted that the Centre had already cancelled the CBSE examinations for 12 standard and many other states also had cancelled board examinations.</p>
<p>Remembering the opinions given by medical experts about the possibility of a third wave he said allowing students to write examinations would further increase the spread of infection.</p>

<p>PTI news agency quoted, citing the CBSE sources,&#8221;Conducting pen and paper mode exams for only major subjects, conducting all exams in two phases planned as per the COVID-19 situation in different states and districts, or cancelling the exams and announcing results as per an alternative assessment scheme&#8221;.</p>
<p>Ramesh Pokhriyal &#8216;Nishank&#8217;, Union Education Minister, will take these suggestions to the meeting scheduled on May 23. The principals of the schools have varied views on the matter.</p>
<p>Sangeeta Hajela, Principal of DPS Indrapuram said,&#8221;For subjects with very few enrollments, the OTP linked delivery of paper to be printed and conducted at home Centres, is also a possibility&#8221;.</p>
<p>Rajat Goel, Director of MGR Universities said,&#8221;There can be another part of aptitude test that can be made an intrinsic part of question papers as it will help them in passing the entrance exams of various universities or colleges&#8221;.</p>
