<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After the tremors of Assam earthquake, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to the Chief Minister of the state, Sarbananda Sonowal.  <br></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">PM Modi shared this information through Twitter and said that Assam has been assured of all possible help from the Center, as well as wish the people of Assam to be efficient. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><br> Let us tell you that 6.4-magnitude earthquake tremors were felt in Assam on Wednesday morning, causing a huge loss in the northeastern state.<br> Officials said the tremors were felt in the entire region including the neighboring state of Meghalaya and northern parts of West Bengal.  He said that the earthquake struck Sonitpur district at 7.51 am.  </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After this, two more tremors of earthquake were felt at 7.57 am and 8.00 am.  These earthquake tremors were recorded at magnitude 4.3 and 4.4 respectively.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><br> According to the information received, earthquake tremors were felt in most parts of the region and people came out of their homes and other places in panic.  </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Many buildings have cracked in Sonitpur&#8217;s district headquarters Tezpur, Guwahati and many other places.&nbsp; Detailed information regarding casualties is awaited.</p>
