]]>Nuh SP Ashok Kumar Verma addressed the media on Monday and stated that a dispute broke out inside a barrack of Neemka Jail on Sunday night. During the altercation, another inmate, identified as Arun Chaudhary, allegedly attacked Rahman with a stone around 2 am. Rahman sustained serious head injuries. He was immediately taken to the jail hospital for primary treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Rahman had been arrested last year by Gujarat and Palwal police from Pali village in March. Authorities said he was earlier apprehended from a farmhouse in Faridabad. He was allegedly hiding there under the name Shankar. At the time of his arrest, police had recovered two hand grenades, detonators and other materials from him.
Following news of Rahman’s death, his father left Ayodhya on Monday to collect his son’s body from Faridabad. The family is expected to return on Tuesday. Rahman was a resident of Mughalai Bazaar.
Police officials stated that Arun Chaudhary has several criminal cases registered against him in Jammu and Kashmir, including charges of murder and attempt to murder. He was transferred from Kathua Jail to Neemka Jail in 2024. Another accused named Yakub Riaz was also present in the same barrack at the time of the incident.
A murder case has been registered against Arun Chaudhary. Police said he will soon be taken on production warrant for further questioning as the investigation continues.

]]>According to police sources the incident took place around ten at night when the officer stopped his car near a shopping complex. Two assailants arrived in another vehicle blocked his way and called out his name. As soon as he responded the attackers opened fire hitting him with a bullet.
Hearing the gunshots people nearby rushed to the spot and informed the police. The injured officer was immediately taken to Medanta Hospital where doctors described his condition as critical. The victim’s wife later lodged a complaint naming unknown persons following which an investigation was initiated.
Police officials stated that the attackers fled the scene immediately after firing. CCTV cameras installed in and around the restaurant and the shopping complex are being examined. The footage reportedly shows two individuals arriving in a vehicle stopping the officer’s car and firing before escaping.
Senior police officials confirmed that eight police teams have been formed to track down the accused. Inputs are also being gathered from local intelligence units. Police believe the attackers had prior information and deliberately targeted the former officer after confirming his identity.
The victim is a resident of Kabirpur Nagar and had previously served in the Air Force before retirement. He had been operating a restaurant in the shopping complex for some time. Further investigation is underway and police have assured that the accused will be arrested soon.

The judge also instructed authorities to ensure that Gupta receives appropriate medical attention during custody, noting his spinal injury and other health-related issues.
Goa Police had previously issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) for Gupta after a search at his Delhi residence proved unsuccessful. A senior officer confirmed that Gupta was later located and detained in the capital, and that he will be formally arrested once he is brought to Goa.
Two of the nightclub’s main owners, Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra, are suspected to have escaped to Phuket, Thailand, shortly after the tragic incident. Authorities have secured an Interpol Blue Corner Notice to help trace them. Another co-owner, British national Surinder Kumar Khosla, is also under an LOC.
Meanwhile, police have arrested five individuals connected to the nightclub’s operations: chief general manager Rajiv Modak, general manager Vivek Singh, bar manager Rajiv Singhania, gate manager Riyanshu Thakur and staff member Bharat Kohli.
The fire, which broke out around midnight on December 6 at the Arpora-based nightclub in North Goa, resulted in the deaths of 25 people and triggered a large-scale investigation into safety and management lapses.

]]>Superintendent of Police (Rural) Suresh Chandra Rawat stated that the victim was traveling on his motorcycle when two men and a woman on another bike allegedly opened fire at him. Witnesses reported that the victim lost control of his vehicle after being shot and crashed into an approaching tractor, resulting in his death at the scene.
The motorcycle suffered severe damage in the accident. Police have sent the body for postmortem examination and have begun an investigation to identify and locate the attackers.

]]>According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Ajit Rajian, the skeletal remains of the victim, identified as Samir Ansari, were recovered on Tuesday night from beneath the cemented kitchen floor of his locked house. Police revealed that Ansari’s wife, Ruby, who is currently absconding, conspired with her lover Imran Vaghela and two of Vaghela’s relatives to kill her husband, dismember his body, and conceal the remains under the kitchen floor.
Vaghela, a resident of the same locality, has been arrested, while Ruby and Vaghela’s relatives, Rahim and Mohsin, remain on the run. The recovered remains have been sent for forensic testing and DNA analysis to confirm the victim’s identity.
Investigators began looking into the case three months ago after receiving a tip-off that Ansari, originally from Bihar, had not been seen in the neighborhood for nearly a year, and that no missing person’s report had ever been filed. Under police questioning, Vaghela confessed that he, along with his relatives, had murdered Ansari at Ruby’s request.
Police stated that Ruby allegedly planned the killing because Ansari had discovered her extramarital affair and frequently assaulted her. She reportedly viewed him as an obstacle to her relationship with Vaghela.
Ansari, a mason by profession, had moved to Ahmedabad in 2016 after marrying Ruby. The couple had two children and lived in Ahmedi Row House near the Fatehwadi canal. Over time, Ruby became involved with Vaghela, leading to violent conflicts between the couple.
Police said that on the night of the murder, Imran, with Ruby’s help, slit Ansari’s throat and dismembered his body. The trio dug a pit in the kitchen, buried the remains, and sealed it with cement and tiles. Ruby continued to live in the same house for several months after the crime, telling neighbors that her husband had gone to another city for work before eventually moving out with her children.
The crime branch later exhumed the remains in the presence of an executive magistrate. The investigation is ongoing as police continue to search for Ruby and the two absconding suspects.

The injured student, Kanishka, is a Class 12 science student from Bhagat Singh Colony who is preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination. The suspect has been identified as 20-year-old Jatin Mangla, a resident of Sarmathla village near Sohna in Gurugram district. According to officials, Kanishka is currently under treatment at a hospital in Sector 8 and her condition is stable.
CCTV Footage Reveals the Attack
Security footage from the area shows the suspect waiting for Kanishka before shooting at her from close range. One bullet struck her shoulder while the other grazed her abdomen. The police have formed four teams to track down the accused and bring him into custody.
Ongoing Harassment Allegations
Investigations revealed that Mangla had been following and harassing Kanishka for several months. Her family mentioned that just two days before the shooting, Mangla had visited them to apologise for his behaviour. Both the victim and the accused were members of the same library, where they studied for their exams.
Library Connection and Background
According to the library management, Kanishka had been a member for a year, while Mangla joined around six months ago. Mangla was employed as an accountant at a nearby private college. The police stated that within two weeks of his joining, both memberships were cancelled due to inappropriate behaviour. Kanishka later re-enrolled, but Mangla was not allowed back. Inspector Shamsher Singh from Ballabhgarh City Police Station confirmed that multiple police and crime branch teams are conducting raids to arrest the suspect. Authorities have assured that every possible effort is being made to ensure justice for the victim.
