										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Despite a minor increase in daily data on Wednesday, India reported less than 20,000 coronavirus cases for two days in a row. In the last 24 hours, 18,870 new Covid-19 cases were registered, according to the latest data on the health ministry bulletin. On Tuesday, the total was 18,795 people.</p>
<p>The recovery rate now stands at 97.83 percent, the highest since March 2020, with 28,178 patients cured within the same period.</p>
<p>At the time of writing, there were 2,82,520 active cases, accounting for 0.84 percent of the total cases (337,16,451) reported in the country since the epidemic began last year. The number of ongoing cases has also dropped to its lowest level since March 2020.</p>

It has also resolved to ease night curfews in all districts of the state, with the exception of four that share borders with Kerala.</p>

<p>“One-week institutional quarantine and testing after seven days, irrespective of vaccination or negative RT-PCR report, is compulsory for people coming from Kerala,” Karnataka Revenue Minister R Ashok was quoted. In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, it was decided that night curfew would be relaxed in all areas except Kodagu, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, which share borders with Kerala, that is reporting a high COVID caseload.”</p>

According to data updated at 8 a.m., the overall number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 3,25,12,366 and the number of deaths has risen to 4,35,758, with 648 new fatalities.</p>
<p>Active cases account for 0.99 percent of all infections. According to the government, the national COVID-19 recovery percentage was 97.67%. In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has grown by 2,776 cases.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, sixteen of the 78 Afghan evacuees who arrived in India yesterday tested positive for the coronavirus. All 78 people have been quarantined as a precaution.</p>

Deo made the comments on Tuesday after the Centre notified the Rajya Sabha that no casualties owing to a shortage of oxygen had been expressly recorded by states/Union territories. He also criticized the Centre for taking the credit for everything good and condemning the states for everything wrong.</p>
<p>Aside from Deo, Tamil Nadu health secretary J Radhakrishna stated on Tuesday that the state government guaranteed enough supply of oxygen in both government and private hospitals, adding that no one died owing to a shortage of the existence gas.</p>
