For the second day in a row, India saw a dramatic decrease in daily new instances of COVID-19 infections. India reported a single-day increase of 27,254 coronavirus infections, bringing the total to 33,264,175, according to the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry.
Kerala had 20,240 COVID-19 cases and 67 deaths out of 27,254 new COVID-19 cases and 219 deaths reported in India in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
Active cases of COVID-19 infections decreased by about 10,652 throughout this time, to 3,74,269 currently. According to data posted at 8 a.m., the COVID-19-related death toll has risen to 44,28, 74, with 219 daily fatalities reported on Monday.

Employees in the Punjab government who fail to take even the first dosage of the Covid vaccine for reasons other than medical may be forced to take a vacation from September 15. This was announced by chief minister Amarinder Singh on Friday as a move to protect the people of the state from the disease and to ensure that those who are vaccinated do not have to pay the price for those who aren’t.
The chief minister said vaccine effectiveness is obvious from the data being analyzed during a high-level virtual Covid review conference held on Friday. Government employees have been targeted specifically, and any who refuse to get vaccinated will now be ordered to take time off until they receive their first dosage.

]]>The 33 Covid free districts include Aligarh, Amroha, Ayodhya, Baghpat, Ballia, Balrampur, Banda, Basti, Bahraich, Bijnor, Bhadohi, Chitrakoot, Chandauli, Etah, Deoria, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hapur, Hardoi, Hathras, Kasganj, Lalitpur and Mahoba. The list also includes Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Pilibhit, Rampur, Saharanpur, Shamli, Siddharth Nagar, and Sonbhadra, according to the state government data.
Overall, the state has a total of 199 active cases, while the positivity rate came down to less than 0.01 per cent. The recovery rate, meanwhile, has improved to 98.7 per cent. As per the state’s health bulletin, Uttar Pradesh reported only 11 new Covid-19 cases and zero deaths in the last 24 hours. The fresh cases came out of 2.26 lakh samples that were tested in the last 24 hours. As of Friday, the state government has conducted 7.42 crore tests, according to the data published by Uttar Pradesh’s health department.
On the vaccination front, around 7 crore people in the state have received their first dose of the jab. The vaccination coverage in the state has exceeded 8.47 crores, out of which, 12 lakh people have been inoculated in the last 2 hours.
Meanwhile, the overall nationwide tally climbed to 33,174,954 after recording 34,973 cases in the last 24 hours. This was around 19% lower than Thursday when the country had logged 43,263 fresh infections. The death toll stands at 442,009.

India reported 43,263 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Thursday. According to data updated at 9 a.m. by the Union health ministry, the country’s total coronavirus tally has risen to 3,31,39,981.
Kerala reported 30,196 new cases in the last 24 hours, accounting for nearly half of all new cases. With 338 more deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has risen to 4,41,749 people. In the last 24 hours, there have been 2,358 new active cases. The active caseload is 3,93,614, or 1.19 percent of the total number of cases.
