<p>The farmer who was injured was taken to a government hospital in Naraingarh, near Ambala, where the accident occurred. After being treated, he was freed and informed reporters that he was standing by the side of the road when he was knocked over by the vehicle that followed the MP.</p>

<p>Farmers have demanded that an FIR be made against the driver of the car, and have threatened to gherao, or surround, the police station on October 10 if this is not done.</p>
