										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In an effort to reduce air pollution, the West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC) has chosen to incorporate CNG-fueled buses around the city into service over the next six months, state minister Firhad Hakim announced on Monday. Following the announcement about the electric bus services throughout the city, the WBTC has inked a deal with the Bengal Gas Company Ltd (BGCL) to provide CNG for eco-friendly transportation.</p>
<p>Per an official, the change will save between 25% and 30% on gasoline costs. According to the official, BGCL, a joint venture of GAIL (India) Ltd and Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation Ltd, would invest Rs 3.5 crore on CNG infrastructure at eight WBTC bus depots.</p>
