<p>ByteDance has registered a trademark with the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks.</p>
<p>It was discovered by informant Mukul Sharma, who posted an image of it on Twitter. The trademark was filed under the term &#8220;TickTock&#8221; and in Class 42, which is described as &#8220;scientific and technical services and related research and design; industry assessment and research services; product development of computer hardware.&#8221;</p>
