Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has stated that children will not be allowed to consider careers as doctors or engineers as long as “madrassas” exist. In another video, he believes that his word (madrassa) should be abolished. A child cannot become a doctor or an engineer as long as this cognitive pattern persists. If a youngster is informed of the outcome, he or she will be unwilling to visit. Human rights violations occur when children are admitted to a madrassa.

Nobody is suggesting don’t teach the Quran, he added (Islamic holy book). Science, math, biology, botany, and zoology should all be taught to students. For 2-3 hours, give religious instruction. In schools, however, students should be taught in such a way that they can become engineers or doctors.

Former Chief Justice of India Hemant Soren’s mining lease is an insufficient basis for his expulsion from the state legislature. In his response to the Jharkhand chief minister’s request for an opinion on the case, Justice VN Khare stated.

Soren received a notice from the Election Commission of India (ECI) last week, requesting him to explain why he should not be disqualified. The ECI cited the review of documents as adequate grounds for beginning disqualification procedures, citing the grant.

It mentioned the Representation of the People Act, which states: “a person shall be disqualified if, and for so long as, there subsists a contract entered into by him in the course of his trade or business with the appropriate Government for the supply of goods to, or for the execution of any works undertaken by, that Government.’’

On Sunday morning, as Delhi’s air quality fell into the “very poor” category, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal blamed the rise in pollution on stubble burning in neighboring states, saying that governments were “doing nothing” to help farmers stop it.

He urged the governments of Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh to recognize and accept their roles in decreasing stubble burning and pollution.

Chief minister M K Stalin on Tuesday sought the support of nine chief ministers, including that of eight coastal states of Gujarat, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal and Union territory of Puducherry, in opposing the Draft Indian Ports Bill 2021, dealing with the management of minor ports.

In his letter dated June 21, Stalin said the Union ministry of ports, shipping and waterways, which has framed a new ‘Draft Indian Ports Bill 2021’ to modify the current management model of minor ports, has convened a meeting of the Maritime State Development Council (MSDC) with the state ministers on June 24 to discuss the bill. As per the existing Indian Ports Act,1908, the powers to plan, develop, regulate and control the minor ports vests with the state governments.

But the Indian Ports Bill proposes to change this and transfer many of these powers to MSDC, which has so far been only an advisory body. Further, many powers exercised by the state governments would be taken over by the Centre, even though the present system led to good development of minor ports under the states.

The move by the Centre to bring a new bill would have long term adverse impact on the management of minor ports since the state governments would not have any major role in managing them if the bill gets approved, Stalin said. Stalin calls for joint action in letter to CMs

He urged the chief ministers to take joint action to prevent any move to dilute the powers vested with the states in administering these ports.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal raised concern about the new strain found in Singapore. The strain is proving dangerous to the children. While giving an argument that it has come as a third wave in India, he requested the centre to take immediate precautions. He also suggested that the flights should be cancelled to and from Singapore as soon as possible.

He tweeted in Hindi,”The new form of Corona that came to Singapore is being said to be extremely dangerous for children, in India it may come as a third wave. My appeal to the central government: 1. Air services with Singapore to be cancelled with immediate effect 2. Priority on vaccine options should be worked out for children too”.

Delhi Chief Minister’s tweet came in the middle of the concerns raised about the third wave of Corona. Many experts say that this is very likely to target the children. At the current time, the first and second wave has hit the elderly and the young at most.

The Principal Scientific Advisor of the government informed that a third wave in ‘inevitable’ and advised that the vaccines must be updated to deal with the new strains.
