<p>Jitin Prasada, the only one of the seven to be appointed to the cabinet, denied that serving in the Uttar Pradesh ministry was a setback for him. The 47-year-old was a member of the Congress-led administration as a Union Minister. Earlier morning, the Chief Minister met with all of the new ministers. They have yet to be assigned ministries and only have three months until the code of conduct takes effect, so there will be no further announcements.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set for a mega expansion and reshuffle of his Cabinet, the first in his second term that started in May 2019.</p>
<p>Several new ministers are likely to be included in the PM&#8217;s council of ministers. Ahead of the reshuffle, several ministers, including Union health minister Harsh Vardhan and education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, resigned from the Cabinet.</p>
<p>On Tuesday, social justice and empowerment minister Thaawarchand Gehlot had also vacated his ministry as he was appointed as the governor of Karnataka.</p>
<p>The new list that has come to the fore seems to have been guided by several factors, including the upcoming assembly elections in five states in 2022.</p>
<p>PM Modi had conducted an extensive review of the performance of several ministers in the run up to this exercise. So, while some ministers have been dropped, some others may be promoted.</p>
<p>Also, reports suggest that Modi&#8217;s new Cabinet will have a higher share of OBC representations, younger leaders and women ministers.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Union Home Minister Amit Shah will go on a two-day visit to Karnataka on Saturday.  During this, he will address a political rally in Belagavi district.  Will also launch several projects.  On his two-day visit, Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone for a new battalion complex of Rapid Action Force in Shimoga district of Karnataka.  Amit Shah will also work to convince the legislators who are angry with the expansion of the cabinet during their Karnataka period.<br> According to the itinerary issued by the Government of Karnataka, Home Minister Shah will lay the foundation stone of a new battalion complex of Rapid Action Force in Shimoga district on Saturday.  Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa will also be with him during this period.  The Karnataka government has allotted 50.29 acres for the headquarters of the force&#8217;s 97th Battalion.  The Rapid Action Force is a special force, formed by converting 10 battalions of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).  Its main task is to restore peace among all sections of society during the situations arising like riots and riots.After the expansion of the cabinet in Karnataka, there is a fierce battle within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).  Many legislators have adopted a rebellious stand against cabinet expansion.  Amit Shah will also persuade these MLAs on their Karnataka era.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Karnataka government expanded the cabinet on Wednesday.  The Karnataka cabinet had 27 ministers, including the chief minister.  There were seven vacant seats in the cabinet, which have been filled.  The new ministers include MTB Nagaraj, Umesh Katti, Arvind Limbavali, Murugesh Nirani, R Shankar, CP Yogishwar, Angara S.  After the expansion of the cabinet in Karnataka, there is a fierce battle within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).  Many BJP leaders are angry with this cabinet expansion.  Party MLA Basangowda Yatnal has made serious allegations against Chief Minister Yeddyurappa.  He said that Yeddyurappa should retire from politics, whoever blackmails or gives money is made a minister, there is a quota for it.</p>
