<p>The incident occurred on Friday night in Nelakanker village, situated under the jurisdiction of the Usur police station. According to police officials, a group of armed Naxalites stormed the village, forcibly dragged out two men, identified as Ravi Kattam (25) and Tirupati Sodhi (38), from their homes, and attacked them with sharp-edged weapons. Both men died at the scene of the attack.</p>
<p>Following the assault, the Naxalites quickly fled the area, leaving the villagers in fear. Local police were immediately notified and have since launched an investigation into the killings.</p>
<p>This attack is part of an ongoing series of Naxalite-related violence targeting villagers in the Bastar division, which includes seven districts, such as Bijapur. The region has seen heightened tensions as Naxalites continue to assert their presence, often targeting local populations.</p>
<p>Just days earlier, on October 14, a BJP worker was also found strangled to death in a similar act of violence, underscoring the growing security challenges in the region.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"> The results of Bihar assembly elections have been arrived.  The wait for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), which entered the electoral arena with the intention of ending 15 years  of exile from the power of Bihar, has increased for five more years.  The people have once again put the crown of Bihar&#8217;s power on Nitish Kumar&#8217;s head.  In Bihar, the National Democratic Alliance candidates led by Nitish Kumar have won 125 of the 243 seats.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is three more than the magic figure of 122 needed for the majority.  The RJD-led opposition grand alliance has won 110 seats.  Among the constituents of the NDA, Nitish Kumar&#8217;s Janata Dal United (JDU) has won 43 seats.  At the same time, JDU&#8217;s alliance partner BJP&#8217;s candidate has been winning in 74 seats.  Hindustani Awam Morcha (Hum), the other constituent of the NDA, has got four seats and Vikashani Insan Party (VIP) has won four seats.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The NDA has obtained a majority by defying the exit poll estimates.  After NDA majority, it is decided that Nitish Kumar will be the next Chief Minister of Bihar.  Nitish Kumar got power, but he is weak.  His party&#8217;s seats have decreased.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is the first time that the JDU has lagged behind the BJP in the alliance and has become the number two party.  However, BJP national president JP Nadda has also made it clear during the campaign that Nitish Kumar will become the chief minister even if the seats are reduced.</p>
