										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Due to a long disagreement over a plot of land in Kusupur village in Odisha&#8217;s Cuttack region, a guy reportedly stabbed 5 members of his elder brother&#8217;s family to death on Tuesday. Alekha Chandra Sahoo (46), his wife Rashmi Rekha (41), their child Smruti Sandhya (19), and two sons Smruti Sahil (18) and Smruti Saurav (16) were identified as the deceased.</p>
<p>The offender, Alekha&#8217;s younger brother Shiba Prasad Sahoo (42), admitted to the familicide through video messaging and confessed before the police. The cause for the familicide, according to Cuttack (rural) SP Jugal Kishore Banoth, was a territorial dispute. &#8220;We&#8217;re interviewing the accused to get more information,&#8221; Banoth said.</p>
