For a few hours, Indian users reported being able to view the profiles of Pakistani stars like Mawra Hocane, Saba Qamar, Ahad Raza Mir, Yumna Zaidi, and Danish Taimoor, triggering an online uproar and sparking debates over censorship, cross-border media, and digital diplomacy.
But by Thursday morning, the curtain fell once again. Searches for these celebrities now return the message: “Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content.”
Interestingly, YouTube channels belonging to former cricketers Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Akhtar, along with platforms like Green TV Entertainment, continue to be accessible. However, iconic stars such as Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Hania Aamir remain digitally invisible to Indian audiences.

Singaporean authorities have claimed it will not be classified because of its aggressive and one-sided representation of Muslims and portrayals of Hindus being persecuted in the ongoing war in Kashmir.
On March 11, The Kashmir Files was released in India. Both the federal government and certain states pushed for it, offering tax breaks and half-day vacation for government employees to view the film. The film grossed Rs 238.28 crore in just three weeks at the box office.

]]>As per the official order by the Joint Commissioner of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), “BBMP bans slaughter of animal and meat sale on September 10, 2021, on Ganesha Chaturthi.”
Earlier, on September 5, the Karnataka government informed that no more than 20 people will be allowed for celebrations and immersion of the Ganesha idol.
“No celebrations will be allowed after 9 pm. Night curfew to remain in effect during the festival to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic,” read the Standard Operating Procedures issued by the government.
The order further informed, “No processions will be allowed. Only eco-friendly Ganesha idols will be allowed. Distribution of food and prasad will not be allowed during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. No function to take place in districts with more than 2 per cent positivity rate in view of the pandemic.”
Meanwhile, Karnataka logged 1,102 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 17 fatalities today, as per State Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar.
Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturti, is a Hindu festival celebrating the arrival of Ganesh to earth from Kailash Parvat with his mother Goddess Parvati/Gauri. It will be celebrated on September 10 this year.

For years, the Taliban has used social media to spread its messages.
“The Taliban is sanctioned as a terrorist organisation under US law and we have banned them from our services under our Dangerous Organisation policies. This means we remove accounts maintained by or on behalf of the Taliban and prohibit praise, support, and representation of them,” a Facebook spokesperson told the BBC.
“We also have a dedicated team of Afghanistan experts, who are native Dari and Pashto speakers and have knowledge of local context, helping to identify and alert us to emerging issues on the platform,” the spokesperson said.
The social media giant said it does not make decisions about the recognition of national governments but instead follows the “authority of the international community”.
Facebook highlighted that the policy applies to all of its platforms, including its flagship social media network, Instagram and WhatsApp.
However, there are reports that the Taliban is using WhatsApp to communicate.
Facebook told the BBC that it would take action if it found accounts on the app to be linked to the group.

However, he justified his decision. Jack Dorsey said in his tweets that he is neither celebrating nor feeling any pride in this ban. He said that his Twitter account was deleted only after Trump had been warned several times.
