										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday said Assemblies and Parliament are meant for debate, discussion and decision, and not disruptions.</p>
<p>Referring to the ugly scenes witnessed in the Rajya Sabha recently and indicating action against those involved, he reminded elected representatives of their responsibilities.</p>
<p>&#8220;&#8230;.all elected public representatives should focus more on improving the standards of the life of the people, by rising to the need of the occasion,&#8221; Naidu said.</p>
<p>Addressing an event here, he said, &#8220;You might have seen some time back, what happened in the Parliament, a lot of youngsters called me and told me, Sir! you are the Vice President of India, why are you so sad? I said I&#8217;m sad because of the bad behaviour of some people, to the new low the Indian Parliament had gone.</p>
<p>Pointing to similar incidents at several state legislatures including Karnataka in the past, he further said, every legislator and public representative should keep in mind the need to raise the standards of the institution he or she is representing, and improve one&#8217;s contribution by caliber, character, capacity and conduct.</p>
<p>You are the role model for the people, if you behave like this then what is the inspiration the people and the youngsters will get?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Assemblies and parliament are meant for debate, discussion and decision. Debate, discuss and decide, but do not disrupt. Disrupting means you are disrupting the cause of the country. There may be some tension, but you must come back to attention,&#8221; he added.</p>

<p>Pinarayi Vijayan from CPI (M) elects as the new Parliamentary leader making his way for the Chief Minister of Kerala. As per the statement of CPI (M), the state committee of the Marxist party met at the headquarters of AKG Centre on Tuesday. There they elected Vijayan to lead the party. The statement added that the chairperson of the party, Elamaram Kareem decided to assign Vijayan for leading the party. Vijayan has a history of leading the Left front in the polls on April 6.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Questions have been raised about the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in the country. In view of this, preparations are also being made to provide voting option through ballot with EVMs in Maharashtra. Assembly Speaker Nana Patole has directed to make a law in this regard. If the legislation is approved in the Legislature, then EVMs will be voted in the local body and assembly elections through ballot.<br>On Tuesday, Assembly Speaker Patole held a meeting at the Vidhan Bhavan to give voters of the state the option of ballot with EVMs. During this, he prepared a proposal to provide voting facility through ballot with EVM under Article-328 of Indian Constitution to Rajendra Bhagwat, Secretary, Legislature Secretariat, Baldev Singh, Chief Electoral Officer of the state and Secretary of Law and Justice Department, Bhupendra Gurav. Instructed to do.He said that this will enable voters to vote as they wish. Also, the voting percentage will also increase. In fact, Satish Ukay of Nagpur has filed a petition with the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly under Article 328 of the Constitution to make a law in relation to providing ballot options in the state. The Speaker called a meeting to discuss this.</p>
