<p>Panghal outboxed a familiar opponent in Saken Bibossinov of Kazakasthan by a 5-0 score, Thapa, the first Indian boxer in the tournament&#8217;s history to secure five medals, overcame a giant threat in top-seeded Bakhodur Usmonov of Tajikistan by a 4-0 decision to make it to the finals.</p>
<p>On the other hand, national champion Varinder Singh (60kg) lost to Iran&#8217;s Daniyal Shahbakhsh by 2-3 and had to settle for the bronze medal after a hearty fight.</p>
