										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Some Indian individuals remain in Afghanistan, and Air India will continue to fly from Kabul as long as the airport remains operational, according to Indian envoy Rudrendra Tandon, who was evacuated with other diplomatic employees on Tuesday.</p>
<p>Due to the uncertainty generated by the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan following the collapse of the Ashraf Ghani government on Sunday, India decided to withdraw the ambassador and all other employees from the mission in Kabul, thus closing the embassy for the second time since 1996.</p>
<p>On Monday and Tuesday, about 200 Indian officials and security personnel were flown out of Kabul in two groups on two C-17 military heavy-lift aircraft, with the flights done in secrecy despite the Taliban&#8217;s chaotic occupancy of Kabul.</p>
