The Army has begun rescue operations in the snow-covered area in the hopes of rescuing the helicopter crew. The reason for the accident and the number of victims, if any, were not immediately identified, according to Army sources. After taking flight, the Cheetah chopper carrying an ill BSF jawan crashed. The location is close to the Pakistani-controlled Line of Control.</p>
<p>According to an official, the helicopter was ready to land but &#8220;drifted away&#8221; due to weather circumstances. The accident occurred at Gujran Nallah in the Bandipora area of north Kashmir&#8217;s Gurez Sector.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Experts, specialized equipment, and divers are being sent in, and international assistance is being sought for the deep underwater search for the chopper that fell into Ranjit Sagar Dam in Kathua, Jammu &amp; Kashmir, on August 3, according to the Army.</p>
<p>According to the Army, the operation is still difficult due to near-zero visibility below 50 meters due to the colloidal nature of water this time of year, which affects the accuracy of sonars and other sensors.</p>
<p>Since the chopper went down, two Army Aviation Corps pilots have been missing. Defense spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said that expertise and equipment from the army, navy, and Indian Air Force, as well as other agencies and private firms from across the country, had been put to use.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As part of efforts to change the appearance of the Indian Army, preparations are being made to shorten the logistic tail of the Army.  Under this, there will be a decrease in the number of soldiers engaged in supply and support with the army&#8217;s contingents.  The army has set a target of reducing about one lakh soldiers within the next three-four years.<br> Top Army officials have recently given this information to the Parliamentary Committee attached to the Ministry of Defense.  It says that the focus is on combat troops (infantry).  They will be equipped with modern technology.  Because they have the responsibility of protecting the borders.  They will be provided with state-of-the-art technologies and reduced in &#8216;tooth to tail ratio&#8217;.<br> This means that the number of soldiers engaged in supply and support work will be reduced.  Actually, there is still a certain number of supply and support teams with the fighters of the jawans.  Which ensures availability of all resources.  But in the manner in which the use of state-of-the-art techniques is increasing in the army, this type of system is now being considered as essential.<br> 80 people can do 120 people work An example was explained to the Parliamentary Committee that an army combat company currently consists of 120 people.  But if this company is equipped with technology, then 80 people can do the same work, in which 120 people are still doing it.<br> Money can be spent in equipping soldiers with technology On behalf of the Army, it has been said that when General VP Malik was the Chief of Army, there was a reduction of 50 thousand people, but now one lakh people can be reduced in the next three-four years.  The amount left from this will be spent in equipping the soldiers with technology.  This report of the committee has been tabled in the Parliament during the recently concluded session.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He further wrote that the Bharatiya Janata Party has now become a subject of humor and satire.  Every day they keep experimenting to entertain the public by creating new pretenses, but their fancier experiments are not liked by the public.  The &#8216;Tandava&#8217; web series is currently released.  It is said that this series is based on the reality of current politics.  Politics of Delhi, political pulls in universities, some such topics are shown in it.<br>
Meanwhile, in this series, the Bharatiya Janata Party created a ruckus about having some objectionable dialogues in the context of Hindu deities.  In the dialogues of Lord Shankar and Narada, BJP started the &#8216;Tandava&#8217; by mentioning Shri Ram in a satirical way.  The Shiv Sena has never tolerated any derogatory dialogues in the context of Hindu deities.As much as Goswami has insulted the Hindustani soldiers and their martyrdom, even the Pakistanis would not have insulted them.  Senior Congress leader and former Defense Minister AK Antony, along with Sushilkumar Shinde, Salman Khurshid and Ghulamby Azad, have also demanded an inquiry into the entire matter in the Journalist Council and take action under the &#8216;Government Secrecy Act&#8217;.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Describing the whole issue as treason, Congress leaders have also indicated to raise this issue in the Parliament session.  The truth in this case should be brought out by the government.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"> Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be spending a lot more time with the Territorial Army now that he has retired, said friend and business partner Arun Pandey on Sunday, rejecting talk of his brand value going down due to the decision.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Pandey saw the retirement announcement coming after this year&#8217;s T20 World Cup, which was postponed to 2022 last month, but only Dhoni knew that it would come on Independence Day. &#8220;I was aware that he would do it soon but did not know the exact timing. Anyway it was for him to decide. He had started IPL preparations but it was postponed and then the T20 World Cup was postponed, he thought to be mentally free,&#8221; Pandey told PTI day after Dhoni&#8217;s unexpected announcement on Saturday. &#8220;And since August 15 is a special day for the Army, he must have thought on those lines. The T20 World Cup postponement was surely a factor as he planned for it,&#8221; he said.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Dhoni holds the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army. Following the 2019 World Cup semifinal loss, he trained with the Parachute Regiment for more than a month.  &#8220;One thing is for sure, he will be spending more time with the Army. He will also give time to his commercial ventures and other commitments. We will sit down soon and decide the way forward.&#8221;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In most cases, the brand value of an athlete goes down after retirement but  Pandey insists it won&#8217;t happen to Dhoni. &#8220;Since the World Cup (in July 2019), we have signed up with 10 new brands and it is a long-term thing. It will keep on increasing as Dhoni is not just about cricket, he is a youth icon.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8220;In most cases retirement does have an impact but not when it comes to Dhoni. His achievements are not individual, his achievements are for the team and for the coutnry,&#8221; said Pandey. Pandey added that Dhoni will play the IPL for another two or three seasons. &#8220;He will play for at least couple of years, if not more. He will be more mentally free now that he is retired. The T20 World Cup postponement was definitely a factor in his retirement.&#8221; </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The mega event, which was to take place in Australia in October-November, was moved to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. India have the hosting rights for the 2021 edition. </p>
