New York State surpassed 10,000 confirmed cases of corona virus, with more than 6,000 in New York City. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said Saturday that Manhattan’s Javits Center tops his list of locations to be turned into field hospitals to test and possibly treat cases of COVID-19 infections. There are over 24,000 confirmed cases in the United States, and more than 300 have died.
The corona virus cases worldwide reached at least 303,180 on Saturday as Italy hit a grim milestone by reaching record-breaking death tolls two days in a row. In the U.S., the Senate adjourned without voting on the corona virus relief package, setting the stage for a possible vote on Monday.
