A picture of missing CoBRA commando Rakeshwar Singh has been revealed during an encounter with Naxalites on the Sukma-Bijapur border in Chhattisgarh. Naxalites sent this picture to a journalist and claimed that the jawan is safe. The Naxalites also said in their message that they have no enmity with the jawans. The statement issued by the Maoists also said that the government should announce the names of the negotiators as soon as possible so that further talks can be done.
Bijapur journalist Ganesh Mishra claimed that the jawans missing since the Naxalite violence were safe. The Naxalites have also sent him a photo of the missing soldier Rakeshwar Singh. On ABP News, Ganesh Mishra said that he was approached on behalf of the Maoists and told that the jawans were safe. Significantly, Rakeshwar Singh’s wife had requested PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for his safe return.
