According to Malik Allah Yar, MD of Finance International, a business firm based in Japan, it has become easier for them to send money to Pakistan due to the facilities offered by banks.
He said that according to his information, the work of sending money to Pakistan through hawala and handi has not been completely finished. But now a large number of people living in Japan send money to Pakistan through legal channels.
Kanwal Azeem, who works at a grocery store in the capital of Oslo, Norway, used to send money to the country through handover and handi.
