As the assembly elections in West Bengal are coming to a close, the pace of resigning in the Trinamool Congress is also increasing. On Friday, Forest Minister Rajiv Banerjee resigned from his post in the Mamta government. He has sent his resignation to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

In his resignation, Rajiv Banerjee wrote, ‘It was a privilege to serve the people of West Bengal. He thanks everyone for this opportunity ‘.

Rajiv Banerjee did not attend many previous cabinet meetings, after which speculations were being made that he might leave his post. However, he has not resigned from the membership of the party yet.
Let us tell you that assembly elections are to be held in West Bengal this year and before that the leaders of Trinamool Congress are constantly leaving the post. Shubhendu Adhikari has already resigned and taken command of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

A few days ago, Lakshmi Ratna Shukla also left her ministerial post. Many Trinamool Congress MLAs, local leaders have also left the party post and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Significantly, this week, Home Minister Amit Shah is having a political visit in Bengal, in such a situation, it is being speculated that many TMC leaders can join the BJP.
